Genesis Home Renovations (“Genesis Home Renovations,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit genesishomerenovations.com (the “Site”) or contact us about our home renovation and remodeling services, how we use that information, and the choices you have. By using the Site or submitting your information to us, you agree to the practices described here.

Who We Are

Genesis Home Renovations is a home renovation and remodeling contractor serving Orange County, Riverside, and the Inland Empire, California.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you request a free estimate, fill out a contact or quote form, call or text us, or otherwise communicate with us, you may provide:

  • Your name;
  • Your email address;
  • Your phone number;
  • Your property or project address;
  • Details about your renovation project, budget, timeline, and preferences; and
  • Any other information you choose to include in a message to us.

Information we collect automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, approximate location, browser type, device type, operating system, referring website, the pages you view, links you click, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this information using cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies and Tracking” below) and through the infrastructure and security providers described in that section.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide the free estimates, quotes, and services you request;
  • Schedule consultations, site visits, and project work;
  • Communicate with you about your project, including by phone, email, and text message;
  • Send you information, promotions, or updates about our services where you have asked to receive them or where permitted by law;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • Understand how visitors use the Site so we can make it more useful; and
  • Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

Text Messaging (SMS)

If you provide your phone number and consent to receive text messages, we may text you about your estimate, appointment, or project. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can reply HELP for assistance. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Mobile opt-in information is never shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies and Tracking

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep the Site functioning, measure traffic, protect the Site from abuse, and understand how the Site is used. Some cookies are set by us; others are set by the infrastructure and security providers we use to operate the Site. These currently include:

  • Cloudflare (content delivery, security, and bot management). The Site sits behind Cloudflare’s network, which caches pages for faster loading and helps filter malicious or automated traffic. Cloudflare sets a security cookie (for example, __cf_bm) to distinguish legitimate visitors from bots, and may use Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that form submissions are made by a human rather than automated software. Cloudflare processes the technical and connection data (such as IP address) needed to provide these services. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts. The Site loads certain typefaces from Google’s font servers so that pages render with consistent typography. Loading a font this way sends your browser’s IP address and user-agent to Google. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • WPForms (form processing and spam protection). When you submit a quote or contact form, our form software may use CAPTCHA or bot-verification technology (such as Google reCAPTCHA or Cloudflare Turnstile) to confirm the submission is not automated, and stores your submitted information on our website’s database, hosted with our web hosting provider.
  • Site caching and performance. Our hosting and caching services (including our web host and any content-delivery or cache-purging tools we use) may set cookies or use local storage to serve pages faster and keep the Site’s cache in sync with recent changes.

We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking pixels (such as social-media ad pixels) on the Site. If that changes, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe the new technology and, where required by law, provide a way to opt out. We do not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals at this time because no common industry standard for responding to them has been adopted. Most browsers let you refuse, block, or delete cookies through their settings; if you do, some parts of the Site — including form submission and spam protection — may not work as intended.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. With vendors who perform services for us — such as web hosting, content delivery and security (Cloudflare), font delivery (Google Fonts), form processing and spam/bot protection (WPForms and its CAPTCHA providers), backup, email delivery, analytics, and marketing — and who are permitted to use your information only to provide those services to us.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With your consent. When you otherwise direct us to share your information.

Third-Party Services and Links

The Site may rely on third-party services (for example, for hosting, analytics, maps, and forms) and may contain links to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy does not cover the practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service or site you use.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, provide our services, maintain our business records, and comply with our legal obligations. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption in transit. The Site is served exclusively over HTTPS/TLS, so information you submit to us — including quote and contact forms — is encrypted between your browser and our servers.
  • Network-level security. The Site operates behind Cloudflare’s network firewall, bot-management, and DDoS-mitigation services, which help block malicious traffic, automated scraping, and abusive form submissions before they reach our website.
  • Access controls. Access to the systems that manage the Site and store form submissions is restricted to authorized personnel and protected by unique credentials; we do not publish or share administrative access.
  • Regular backups. We maintain periodic backups of the Site and its data so that information can be restored in the event of an error, outage, or security incident.
  • Software maintenance. We apply updates to the Site’s platform, plugins, and security components on an ongoing basis to address known vulnerabilities.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we experience a security incident that affects your personal information in a way that triggers notification obligations under applicable law, we will notify you and any required regulators in accordance with that law.

Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), gives you certain rights regarding your personal information, subject to exceptions and verification:

  • Right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it;
  • Right to delete the personal information we have collected from you;
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you;
  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — note that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA; and
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” above and post the updated policy on this page. Your continued use of the Site after we post changes means you accept the updated policy.
